THE PAPER MOON SCREEN PRINTING WORKSHOPS

 

The Paper Moon Print Studio is a collective of artists and print makers with expertise in both screen printing and lino printing. They have a wealth of experience running creative workshops of all shapes and sizes in schools, at festivals and live events as well as in museums and galleries. For The Good Life Experience The Paper Moon Founders Laura Kate Chapman and Johanna Wilson will be teaming up with  Lizzie Chapman to introduce lino printing to their line-up of screen printing workshops.

Laura has been running her own freelance illustration business since 2009- Laura-Kate Draws. Laura has worked on a variety of commission based projects as well as developing her own range of illustrated gift ware products and hosting illustration and print workshops in schools and museums in the North West. Clients have included The RSC, The Library of Birmingham and Walker Gallery.

Johanna, who works under the moniker THAT GIRL has been creating designs and illustrations for the music industry  and also creates her own art experimental artworks that explore the possibilities of printmaking. She has given print workshops at music festivals such as Liverpool Psychfest, Liverpool Sound City, and Record Store Day.

Lizzie Chapman is a designer and print maker based in Manchester. Lizzie graduated from Leeds Arts University with a first class honours degree in printed textiles and surface pattern design. Since spreading her wings and being plunged into the real world Lizzie has designed interior and fashion prints and currently spends her days working on commissions and freelance design projects. Lizzie regularly co-hosts screen print & lino- print workshops with Laura- Kate Draws of The Paper Moon.

The Paper Moon will be hosting a range of print demos, drop in ‘print your own’ posters, and group classes in both screen printing and lino printing across the weekend at The Good Life Experience. They will also be hosting a stall selling printed and illustrated merchandise from a host of local artists. All activities are fun informal and accessible to all ages.
