DO BOOKS TAKEOVER AT TGLE
As a publisher of books that inspire action and positive change, what better place to showcase new titles and give authors a platform to share ideas than a festival that champions and celebrates the doers, the makers and the adventurers?
From our first year with a small table of books in the Market Place to a ‘Do' tent with books and workshops, The Good Life Experience have always supported and encouraged us. And this year we’re excited to announce our very own Do Books takeover! On Saturday 14th September from 2-6pm, new and existing authors will take to the stage to deliver back-to-back talks over the course of an afternoon, including:
Robert Poynton - author of Do Pause: You are not a To Do list.
Amanda Blainey - author of Do Death: For a life better lived.
Jen Goss - co-author of Do Preserve: Jams, Chutneys, Pickles and Cordials.
James Sills - author of Do Sing: Reclaim your voice. Find your singing tribe.
Join us as these expert authors provide inspiration on living a better life. Find out why death is our greatest teacher; why we should all fill a few more jars; the power and purpose of group singing, and why reading Do Pause is like having a brain massage. Our hope is that you will start to question certain things, think a little differently about others, and ultimately, move forward on a more assured and optimistic footing.
In addition, we’re excited to have David Lea-Wilson, co-founder of the world-famous Halen Mon natural sea salt company and co-author of Do Sea Salt: The magic of seasoning, speaking on Friday 13th and Michael Townsend Williams, author of Do Breathe: Calm your mind. Find focus. Get things done, as part of Sunday morning’s line-up.
And of course, after smoking copies of Tom Herbert’s Do Wild Baking over a campfire to celebrate the publication of his book in 2017, we couldn’t resist another launch! This year we’ll be sending Do Sing out into the world with a number of group singing activities led by author and TGLE vocal leader, James Sills.
We can’t wait to see you there!
